So, 2010 kicked off at Easton with a tough game against East Harling. Rumours that the Harling side had completely changed from last year were confirmed when a totally new look side took to the pitch. Easton were missing Norm so therefore reverted to a more familiar 4-4-2.

The first half kicked off with both sides probing. Harling however created the better opening opportunities with Brownbridge having to make a number of fine saves to keep the scores level. At the other end, Terry, playing his first game for Easton, had chances with a header from a corner and also with a shot from distance that flew narrowly over. Harling however eventually made the breakthrough after good movement gave their striker a free run on goal and unfortunately, Brownbridge was left with no chance. Harling created more chances in the first half however couldn’t double their advantage. Easton also were unfortunate to lose Chris Moore just before half-time so Paddy came on in his place.

The second half began and Easton were still well in the game however lacked the pace up front to get beyond the Harling back line. As Easton pushed for the equaliser, gaps started opening up and Harling were sliding balls through for their strikers to get onto. Trig and Gav were having fine games however were eventually beaten when the Harling striker added a second. With the game trailing off, Harling added a further two goals with Easton unable to reply. Nick came on and played a lovely ball through that Tim couldn’t quite get hold of and Nick was also unlucky not to receive a penalty after being hauled down in the box by the Harling defender. However, it wasn’t to be and the game ended with Harling 4 goals to the good.
