 Easton Res 3 v Hingham 3
Our final game of the season saw us let slip a 3 goal lead due to having Lemon sent off causing us to play the final 30 mins with 10 men. Before the sending off we outplayed a stronger Hingham team who have been in good form lately. Our build up play in the first half was the best i have witnessed by the reserves in the time that i have been manager.Great one touch football and totally dominating the game with Lemon and Pez in control in the midfield linking well with Payton and James causing havoc on each side of the pitch.I must say danny has returned to his best form always a constant threat. It was Payton who got us rolling with a fab run and stabbing the ball home in the 6 yard box. Danny added a second when running onto a through ball to place past the keeper. Second half started the same way and Danny made it 3 from a tight angle. Up to this point Tretty hadnt seen much of the ball but as we put on our coats awaiting the heavy rain the game changed when Lemon put his hand to ball and as he was booked first half the ref had no option but to send him off. Down to 10 men we still had chances to score more but Hingham then began to get a grip of midfield and while we watched them push the ball around our penalty area they had time and space to smash a shot past Tretty. Our next attack saw their keeper handle the ball outside the area.No red card and not even a yellow !!! They should of also been down to 10 men but in the driving rain they scored a second when a cross clipped Matt Mcken into our net. We were under the cosh and in the last minutes Hingham got an equiliser to claim a point. Playing with 10 men and only playing every two weeks saw us struggle in the final 20 mins of this game whilst Hingham have been on a good run and playing two games a week was the key as there fitness told. Dissapointing last game but a great season for the reserves finishing 4th.Hope its enough to get them up ,they do deserve it. Thanks to all that have helped this season and now look forward to challenges ahead. We have come along way over the last two seasons and its a credit to all you lads that have helped us get to this position . Cheers. Tretty One of the main reasons we have achieved our position. Loz Full of energy, 100 miles an hour player, lot more to come Ian Always gives all, legs now struggling to do the 90 Dean Mr consistant superb at right or centre back No fuss Matty Nice to see him back to his best. Quality when concentrating Aris When he has time probably the best ball player in the reserves Lemon Been superb in the holding roll Great second half to the season Pez Been a massive boost in the midfield Strong and can dominate Payton Quick and cocky been a big plus for us Great future if focused Chris Managers nighmare fantastic one minute dog shit next Come On Danny 36 goals what else need to be said Lazy sod Shaun Scored fastest hatrick at Brandon lost through injury James Missed him since Christmas Doing well with Danny Nigel Injured but made a difference when in side Wardy Lost to Afganistan If he had stayed we would of auto Promotion Thanks lads look forward to a night out
