First game of the season and it was a scorcher! With temperatures in the 30’s the lads still made it look easy to beat Foulsham Res 8-1. Leading goal scorer was James Moore who found the back of the net 5 times in 90 minutes, a great return to the game after last years injury. Danny, Pez and Dean also got their names on the score sheet.
We had a strong defence with Chris Bradshaw and Dean at centre half, aided by first teamers Matty and Tim dealing with Foulshams attempts on goal with ease. Pez and Aris held it together in centre mid with support from Payton and James Wheeler down the wings.
Second half Foulsham came back stronger and although our guys were hot and bothered we held it together until minutes remaining when Foulsham finally cleared one past Charlie. Charlie was disappointed not to have kept a clean sheet but we’ve got to be pleased with an 8-1 away win to kick start our season. Well done guys, keep it up and we’ll go up!
