A 6 car convoy left Easton for the A47 trip to one of our bogey teams Swaffham.With Hail stones ,sleet ,rain and a touch of snow throughout the morning and on the way to the ground Mick and myself found the best way to keep warm was in the club bar.
It is very important to keep picking up points at this stage of the season with many games being postponed its best to get the points on the board and as this side beat us just before Christmas we want REVENGE.
With Raffa,Stu and Matty now back in the squad it was a good problem for Eddie to have in who should freeze their nuts off on the bench.
Charlie was drafted in to take Brownbreads position between the sticks but opted not to wear his top as he would of looked like he was playing in a marquee.
Kicking up the hill, against the wind and on a heavy pitch we got off to a superb start when Aggy chased down their defender and slipped the ball to Beanie who shot the ball from the edge of the area to put us 1 up.
It wasn't long after when Wheeler picked the ball up on the right and crossed over for the unmarked Aris to slot the ball home for his first of the season.
Swaffham had many free kicks (from a very fussy ref) awarded just outside our box and it wasnt long until one was flicked low past Charlies left which really he should of done better with. Bit of sustained pressure from Swaffham but nothing we couldn't cope with saw us go in at the break 2 - 1 up.
Pretty even first 20 mins of the second half saw efforts at both ends with Charlie making good saves and clearing up short backpasses well.With Matty ,Stu and Raffa all waiting to come on Aggy picked his spot from close range to put us clear.Tim,Wheeler and Rixy all making way for the 3 amigos.
Wheeler done his usual sulk off to the boys room whilst Stu tore their defence to pieces with superb pace.Raffa got manhandled around the top of his leg (Wheeler would of liked this) and as the Swaffham guy kicked out the ref had no option but to send him to the dressing room.
We had a competition who could clear the stand behind the goal from a free kick with Aggy first,Beanie second and Mattys daisy cutter in last place.
Stu's pace paid off when he was brought down in the area for him to get up and smack the penalty past the keeper to make the score 4 1.
Very good win on a heavy pitch keeps us pushing forward.
Been rough all week after standing out in the cold for too long saturday, bloody weather.

Aris 7 Been further forward last two games Scored!!!!
Beanie 7 Much fitter and providing options for the midfield
Aggy 9 Chased all match and when in defence outstanding

Stu 8 Miss him so much when not available
Raffa 8 Wanted to murder someone
Matty 7 nothing to do

Eddie 10 Good subs at the perfect time
Brownbread 1 full of shit jokes from the dug out.Entertaining.
