A below par performance ,on a below zero day saw us come away from the ground with nothing but chemical poisoning and flu.
Its a tough place to come at the best of times but made so much harder with the loss of Aggy and Raffa due to Birthday celebrations and a bad back.
What with the reserve gate saga this week and myself picking up 3 points more than both Easton sides and Leyton Orient together (bloody camera on the Dereham Road) things didn't go to plan.
Having Stu carried off after 10mins ,Matty off at half time suffering with pulled muscles in his shoulder and Charlie also at half time with a knackered knee the writing was on the wall.Infact we done well to keep in the game until the last 30 mins but to be fair Marlingford were to strong a side against our depleted squad.
Stu got caught pretty bad from a high challenge that the ref didnt even think was a free kick and had to be replaced by Nick early on and that effected our balance and striker options.Our only main chance on goal of any note was a shot by Aris with 5 left on the clock.We didnt seem to start very well and was punished when a ball was put through between Trigger and Tim for the Marlingford No 6 to slot pass Charlie.
Charlie made a superb one on one save to stop Marlingford going in further ahead at half time. On a terrible playing surface we made it to half time still in the game.
Matty was replaced by Eddie and Charlie by the talk me to death Brownbread.

Marlingford kept playing the better football and shortly made it 2 when the No 6 shot from the edge of the box to nestle in the top corner.5 mins after we commit suicide when a short goalkick ended in a mess with Rixy losing the ball and an easy tap in to make it 3.
Joffy run himself into the ground to try to get us going but to no avail and i was pleased to hear the final whistle to get away with only a 3 nil loss.
All in all just one of those days however this shouldn't detract us from all the hard work that has been put in by all over the previous games.
Now a week off to rest our injuries and then a trip to Nth Walsham.

Eddie 5 Felt his age and would of got more marks if he could of fixed the heater in the changing rooms
